IN THE REAL TIME presents new works from Jevi­joe Vitug, delv­ing into invis­i­ble nar­ra­tives cen­ter­ing on Indige­nous wis­dom, migrant labor, and tech­nol­o­gy. The exhi­bi­tion runs from August 24-Sep­tem­ber 18, with an open­ing recep­tion & par­tic­i­pa­to­ry event on August 31 from 2 – 5pm. Curat­ed by Julia Stachura. 

Jevi­joe Vitug is a Philip­pine-born visu­al artist and com­mu­ni­ty col­lab­o­ra­tor. His work address­es per­cep­tion in rela­tion to the con­cepts of invis­i­bil­i­ty and vis­i­bil­i­ty in Indige­nous cul­ture and con­tem­po­rary dig­i­tal cul­ture. He has pre­sent­ed projects in New York, the Philip­pines, Den­mark, Italy, and Sin­ga­pore and has received awards and grants, includ­ing the Foun­da­tion for Con­tem­po­rary Arts Grant and the Queens Muse­um Jerome Foun­da­tion Fellowship.
